Class Work: Memo

Subject: Graphic Design Program Recommendation

Abstract:
This are the results of the research for the most eficient Graphic Design program to the current proyect of MappleStudios.


On may 5th I was consulted by MappleStudios to investigate about the latest graphic design programs on the market and advise about which could be the most apropiate for the new project they will be taking.

I have been testing the main and more profesional software of the main companies for both Windows and Mac Operating System. Also I have been trying both vector and pixel oriented software.
After a little research and taking into consideration the nature of the project (redo a company logo, with new typography and using different sizes) I think that Adobe's Illustrator CS5 will be the best choice because:

• It is easier to export the old graphic files into the Illustrator's Interface.
• It is a user friendy program to any designer who is familiar with Adobe's Creative Suite software, and MappleStudios already worked with Adobe Software.
• At last, although its the most expensive alternative, Adobe provides 2 years of tech support and free upgrades and patches.

Finaly, I can conclude that the Adobe Illustrator CS5 is the best choice for MappleStudios.

About the paper...

This is a little scheme about the paper i'm going to write and read to my colleagues:

As some of you already know, this year the NASA's Space Shuttles will be retired from service due to the long service.
The SRT-134 is the last mission of those transports.
I'm going to write about the electronic systems, the most famous missions and the tragedies of the Columbia and the Challenger, and the future spacecrfats that will replace those amazing ships.

As our company is in need of change our overhead projectors we ask if you, please, could send us an updated catalog of your products, with the new products, prices and offers.

Also we would like to know if, as regular costumers, we still have reduced prices as usual.

We want you to study the information of the dossier attached to this email about their actual systems and objectives for a meeting programmed on two days time at 9.00.

We require your presence on this meeting to discuss your department's disposition to attend this client in a short term.

Clasroom description

Our clasroom is located at the third block, ground floor of the campus. The laboratory has a considerable size (6,5 x 5,5 meters). The walls are covered by some kind of sound insulator; brown and black like cork.

The classroom has two groups of tables. Those tables are of the kind that can be arranged to form a hexagon, but they are arranged to form two long tables. Also there are a lot of chairs for the pupils and the teacher to sit on. On those tables there are some english/spanish dictionaries for the pupils to look up.

As a lenguage lab it has a lot of hardware such a pair of computers near the table we use, a tv, a dvd player and a video (stored in a wardrobe), an old a projector screen, a whiteboard and two projectors (one on the table we use and another one fixed on the celling).
